Just before the Alhambra Valley meets the shores of the Carquinez Strait lies downtown Martinez. It is here on these narrow, tree lined streets that you’ll find this small town’s original Post Office, now the home of States Coffee & Mercantile. We chose to open our doors in this community because it’s where we live, where we have roots, where we call home. Rolling green hills and the trails that navigate them are just minutes away from our front door. On a Sunday morning, Main Street is alive with the fervor of our year round farmers market. From the foothills of Mt. Wanda, a small creek meanders its way through town, providing a home for our nationally renowned unofficial mascot, the wild beaver. There is something different about Martinez. While other Bay Area cities are in the throes of gentrification, our town is having a renaissance of its own, under its own terms. The potential of what was once a thriving business and shopping district is slowly is re-emerging, in a new age, while still holding true to a storied past that makes Martinez unique.

We look forward to seeing you around the neighborhood.
